Residents may dump free by presenting a driver’s license with a Broken Arrow address or a recent utility bill. City employees will be on site to verify residency. Any household waste can be dropped off except for the following items: Hazardous materials, liquids (such as paint in liquid form, gasoline, used oil, etc.), batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, untreated medical waste and compressed gas cylinders. Refrigerators/air conditioners/freezers/or Freon containing items will be accepted with the proper documentation that the refrigerant has been properly removed by a licensed CFC technician. There will be a $2 fee for each car tire, $4 fee for each truck tire. Motor oil, batteries, antifreeze, steel cans and scrap metal are accepted year-round at the Metropolitan Environmental Trust (MET) recycling facility located at 302 North Elm Place. The facility also accepts plastic bottles, glass bottles, newspaper, office paper, aluminum cans, cardboard and paperboard.

Northeastern State University presents "SING" for our spring semester movie on the lawn. The community is invited to join us for a free movie, popcorn, candy and drinks. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served starting at 7:30pm while supplies last. We will also have lawn games and giveaways before the movie starts at 8:30pm.

Join us for this fun-filled family fundraiser! Bark Walk will feature a 1 mile walk through beautiful Central Park on Main street in Broken Arrow. There will be plenty of food, and fun for pets and their human companions. All breeds are welcome! Can't come for the walk, come for the fest! Our day begins with registration at 9:00am. At 10:00am the walk will commence. Participants will walk along a 1 mile trail and end at Pet Fest! In it's 8th year, Bark Walk and Pet Fest has been a family favorite each year. Last year we had over 3,000 in attendance. With pet contests, a ton of local vendors, over 15 local rescues with available pets for adoption, music, raffles, training tips, food trucks, kids zone that includes a bounce house and face painting, $20 microchipping, Mid- first Bank coin donation/ match, and so much more...the day's activities will not disappoint and the fest is FREE!! We are currently looking for sponsors, vendors, raffle donations and of course walkers!
