Theme: Oklahoma Private Investigations
The best crime and mystery novels are situated in “place.” As you will see from these varied plots, mystery and investigation stories find a ready home in Oklahoma and provide a window on the character of the state.
When: The first Thursday of February through June at 6:30 P.M.
A scholar from the region will come to the museum to lead the
discussion of each book.
Please read the book prior to the program.
During the series, we will read and discuss the following five books:
"The Old Buzzard Had it Coming" - Scholar Dr. Cowlishaw; "Letter from Home" - Scholar Russell Lawson; "Capitol Offense" - Scholar Dr. Christopher Owen;
"Twisted Perception" - Dr. Andrew Vassar; "American Cafe" - Trisha Yarbrough

On Feb. 13, some Broken Arrow citizens will be able to cast their vote for the Zone 3 school board member as the seat becomes open. Two candidates have filed for the seat: Dr. Theresa Williamson and John Cockrell.To allow the public the opportunity to become familiar with both candidates, a public forum will be held at 7 p.m., Feb. 6, in the Centennial Middle School cafeteria.
Only residents who live in Zone 3 will be permitted to vote in the election on Feb. 13. The last day to register to vote is Jan. 19. Zone 3 includes Creekwood Early Childhood Center, Arrowhead Elementary, Country Lane Intermediate, Country Lane Primary, Creekwood Elementary, Centennial Middle School and Broken Arrow High School. Zone 3 Boundaries:
Begin at 31st & 145th south to 81st & 145th—east to Elm; at 71st, jogs east to County Line; at 51st jogs back west to Lynn Lane and then North to 31st. The northwest portion is actually in Tulsa City limits.

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is excited to start out 2018 with this new updated Shakespearean tale “The Comedy of Errors.” Director R. Channing Reynolds has adapted this classic play by William Shakespeare and brought it to a present day American big city. Expect some twists and surprises that will make this version of “The Comedy of Errors” like none other you have experienced.
